1. ChatGPT-4 VS Gemini AI: Profile Analyzer and Feedback Loop

First up, we had both platforms analyse our X profile and offer personalised feedback.

Gemini, with its Google-powered insights, had a slight edge in delivering more tailored advice, thanks to its deep data integration.

ChatGPT, however, wasn't far behind, impressing with its creative and nuanced feedback.

Result: it's a close call, but Gemini AI's knack for personalization and conciseness just about beats ChatGPT.

2. ChatGPT-4 VS Gemini AI: The Daily News Digest

For this test we asked each AI Chatbot to aggregate the most recent news on itself.

When it came to summarising the day's news, both chatbots showed they could keep us in the loop efficiently.

The biggest difference in what is presented and how. Gemini was including more up to date news, but seemed to have us do the work we asked it to do by simply giving us the resources that we can go through.

ChatGPT on the other hand summarised specific sources and articles.

Result: Due to the inability of Gemini to provide exactly what we wanted we have to go with ChatGPT.

Despite Gemini being able to pull things from Google natively, it is not able to complete the task with the same level of accuracy as ChatGPT.

3. ChatGPT-4 VS Gemini AI: The Classic Egg or Chicken Conundrum

Ah, the age-old question: which came first, the chicken or the egg? We threw this curveball at both chatbots, not for a definitive answer, but to test their reasoning and creativity.

ChatGPT took the question in stride, offering a scientific exploration of the dilemma, while Gemini focused on a more philosophical angle.

Testing the chatbots' ethical compasses, we set up a scenario requiring moral judgement that might prompt safety guidelines to intervene.

The point of this test is to see if we can convince the chatbot to evaluate whether its a fictional or a real scenario.

ChatGPT was impressive, providing balanced and thoughtful responses that considered multiple perspectives.

Gemini AI, unfortunately, could not provide even a fictional plan.

Result: ChatGPT wins because of its versatility.

7. ChatGPT-4 VS Gemini AI: Write Like Me Challenge

Lastly, we asked both AI to mimic our writing style based on a sample we later provided.

Both ChatGPT-4 and Gemini AI worked very well here.

The biggest difference is in the process through which the chatbot guides you and produces text.

ChatGPT is more complicated than Gemini, but also produces more “wordy” content.

Gemini AI is extremely concise but feels like it is speeding and shortening text output in our writing style.

Result: this one is really down to personal preference so both win.

The Verdict - Which AI Chatbot Wins?

Throughout our tests, Gemini showed a slight lead by being a bit more concise and technical, thanks to its Google brain.

ChatGPT-4, on the other hand, shone in writing and what we perceive as creativity, making it a go-to for content creators.

Speed-wise, ChatGPT-4 was a tad quicker, especially when the digital traffic got heavy.

Gemini is definitely more user-friendly, perfect for AI newbies, while ChatGPT-4 offers customization that tech enthusiasts will love.

Both platforms are top of their class, but your choice might come down to what you value more: ease of use or the ability to tweak your experience

Regardless of how similar they are, ChatGPT-4 still beat Gemini Advanced by 2 points. 5 wins versus 3.

Considering this, ChatGPT Plus seems to offer a sweeter deal with its versatility and customization options, giving you more bang for your buck.

That is, unless Gemini 1.5 pro is able to improve these flaws when it gets released for the general public.
